Introduction

The SAY network utilizes blockchain technology to create a platform aimed at enhancing user engagement and content validation, with a focus on rewarding behaviors through the SAY token. This ecosystem enables content creators and validators to earn tokens through activities such as validated quality content and linguistic contributions, particularly in African languages like Hausa.

The SAY tokens, managed within the SAYWallet, are intended to incentivize participation and facilitate platform governance. The platform is designed to support a range of user contributions, from upvotes and comments to language validation tasks, with a reward system based on Contribution Points convertible into SAY tokens. This model aims to ensure fairness and relevance in rewards distribution, with adjustments over time based on community contribution and engagement levels. The roadmap for the network includes pilot launch, expansion of the network, the introduction of staking, token burn mechanisms to regulate token supply and value, and the expansion of features over time.

Mission

The SAY network seeks to address the gap in digital engagement and language technology in underserved African markets by leveraging blockchain for transparency and user empowerment. Through its focus on rewarding contributions, the platform aims to build large language models (LLMs) with a particular focus on African languages like Hausa. By incentivizing users to record and validate linguistic prompts, SAY aims to not only preserve language but also create valuable AI tools that can serve broader applications in voice technology and beyond.

Technology and Platform

The SAY network utilizes blockchain technology to provide a secure and transparent environment for users to contribute and validate content. It supports point-generating activities, convertible into SAY tokens, emphasizing efficiency and user empowerment. The network’s primary focus is on providing valuable natural language contributions through games, web-based tools, and more, encouraging community-driven validation.

Use Cases

SAY tokens can initially be earned through our games and tools designed for AI model training beginning with training models in natural languages focused on the African market. The network currently focuses on activities like recording Hausa language prompts and moderating audio data.

The SAY Wallet

SAY tokens are held within the SAY Wallet, an online platform found at saywallet.org, serving as an Ethereum-based digital wallet. This wallet enables users to securely store and manage their SAY tokens. Currently, this wallet is only available to Nigerian users.

Users can utilize SAY tokens via desktop browsers using the SayWallet credentials or through mobile device notifications, facilitating easy access and use across different platforms.

Contribution Points: How Users Earn

Users earn SAY tokens by contributing quality audio recordings and participating in the moderation process. There are two primary ways to earn:

Recording Quality Audio: Users record natural language prompts in Hausa or other languages. The better the quality of the audio, the more Contribution Points they receive, which can be converted into SAY tokens.

Reviewing and Moderating Audio: Some users earn by reviewing and moderating the audio recordings submitted by others. They listen to recordings, assess their quality, and rank them. Moderators who ensure the accuracy and quality of content are rewarded with SAY tokens.

This system rewards both contributors who record and those who help maintain the quality of the content.
